bad fit

I am disappointed in this shirt. The fit is not good for me. The body tapers in too much. I contacted you because I was worried about what size to purchase and you responded "Medium". I have purchased from you before and always get an XL. So I ordered an XL. It is a little tight around the middle. shoulders and chest ok, but I can't button it. Also I find the fabric a little stiff and heavy for a camp shirt. I purchased another shirt at the same time in an XL and it fits fine.
I do love the design and colors of this shirt. I really wanted to love it.
