DESIGNER FASHION, FAST... AND RESPONSIBLE
Here at THE KIT, we want you to have it all.
Variety, speed, and a designer point-of-view shouldn’t come at environmental or ethical costs. That’s why in 2017, when we set out to build a company that respected all aspects of the process, we left no part of the process untouched. From design to raw material, from production to your doorstep, we work continuously to lessen the adverse impact of any product at each stage of it’s lifecycle.
Founder and Creative Director | Daniel Vosovic
Creation at THE KIT. always begins with greige goods (the fancy word for raw fabric before undergoing dying or bleaching). Every new design is like painting whatever you can imagine on a variety of canvases. Our full-stack production model means that we only create fabric that has an actual home (that’s where you come in) - meaning there is no waste from unwanted product or fabric – the colored material is only created after you express demand for it.
Fabric Revenue & Color Analysis | Dominican Republic
We have eliminated extraneous steps from the standard creation process, printing only the
pieces of the garment that are actually used to make the garment, which greatly reduces waste.
We eliminate excess ink.
THE KIT. uses the most advanced digital printing process in the industry. The dye to create color is placed in a precise micro-droplets on individual fibers where needed, greatly reducing the amount of dye used and vastly reducing pollutants.
Our State-of-the-Art Printing Process | Printing Facilities
Digital printing uses a fraction of the water required by traditional fabric manufacturing processes.
Since we produce fabric only when demand is established, we don’t waste water on fabric that won’t be used.
Our goal is to use far less water per garment than any brand in the market today.
We want to eliminate all waste.
By creating on demand, we reduce the amount of waste from fabric significantly. Fewer unwanted products made at a higher quality, mean less potential for them to end up in a landfill.THE KIT. uses the most advanced digital printing process in the industry. Perspective | Look up. The view outside THE KIT factory front door
In 2018 we began the process of implementing a recycling program to reuse all scrap material.
Our dream is to achieve zero waste during our production process. We think we can get there.
